This year saw a slow, gradual start back into running. Kharlie was set to reach 50 miles in April until a knee injury on the 22nd stopped him cold. Between May 2 and June 19, he ran occasional short distances again, during walks, but after that, he just focused on walking and biking for the summer.
Kharlie had signed up for two races in 2020, but both were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As it turned out, he was in no shape to race at that point anyway.
