The highlight of 2014 was a 159-day “run streak” from May
26 to October 31, during which at least one mile was run each
day. Sometimes biking or walking workouts (or both) were done
as well. The extra training paid off, as strong PRs were
achieved on both races.

Third place medal from the Milton 10K.
Nice morning: cool but sunny with a light breeze. I didn’t feel
very strong, so I ran slow and steady. Took the last hill, still running
this year (last year I had to walk some of it). Official time of 1:56:16
was a PR by nearly 3 minutes, and last year's course was 1/3 of a mile short.
Placed 6th of 12 in 55–59 age group (1st place was 1:33!), 95th of 156 males,
and 146th overall out of 356 runners. I was much less sore than last year.
I was pleased with this result.

All I can say is WOW. Great weather, no pain before, during, or after
the run… I simply glided through this race, finishing with a 4-minute PR
and 3rd place in the 55–59 age group.
