The Wendi M Special

A tasty variation on the Kharlie M

The first time I made this for my wife was on Thursday, June 8, 2017. Wendi wanted her own coffee drink like the Kharlie M, and she remarked, “Too bad we don’t have butter pecan flavoring.” She didn’t know that I had just bought our first bottle of Southern Butter Pecan creamer by International Delight®. It worked perfectly!

The recipe is simple. Brew the coffee: two shots of proper espresso, or if using a moka pot, use three shots (150 ml). You could also use a dark roast or espresso grind in a K-Cup. Sweeten to taste (we use about 2 tablespoons of no-calorie sweetener; you can use sugar if you like), then add a splash of the creamer I mentioned above.

Just this year (2022), Wendi suggested that I add a spray of aerosol dairy whipped cream on top; this really sets it off.
