…with a silent “h”
using a Keurig or other single serve coffee maker, and manual frother
The main advantage of this method is to quickly make a single serving.
Keurig or other single serve coffee maker
Compatible reusable K-Cup style coffee pod
Manual milk frother
One 16 oz. (475 ml) coffee mug
Ground espresso or dark roast coffee
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2/3 cup (160 ml) milk
1 tablespoon Hershey’s Special Dark chocolate syrup
2 tablespoons sugar
This is the brew selection panel of a Keurig K-Elite which was used to formulate this recipe. Your machine may be different.
Place coffee into the reusable pod; mix in spices. Place pod into unit. Place mug where it will receive the brew. Select strong brew and a 6 oz portion (top row, right, in the image), then brew.
Heat milk between 60 and 68°C (140 to 154°F), then use manual frother to froth it, then put it into the mug. I use a microwave, 40 seconds for each serving; microwaves vary, so experiment as needed. You want the milk warm but not scalding.
Now add the sugar and chocolate syrup. Stir a bit to combine, then enjoy!
