Track #11 of Together with Wendi

For years, I had two different songs in my head, with some lyrics but nothing written down for either one. As recently as May of 2023, I compiled these into a single song and finished writing the lyrics. A simple synth accompaniment was all I needed.

Lady Fair, Lady Fair, I love you so.
You came into my life long, long ago,
and as we walk alone, I feel so grand
just to be close to you, holding your hand.
Moments spent here with you, none can compare,
for I’m in love with you, sweet Lady Fair.

It’s such a lovely day!
We’re happy along the way.
The trees, the flowers, the golden hours,
the blossoms in brilliant array,
are cause to be joyous and gay.

God sends his wonderful sunshine of love
to brighten the path ahead.
He paints vivid colors of orange and yellow
and violet and green and red;
This splendid display that surrounds us today
will differ as days go by,
reminding us all that life changes.
Oh my! How time does fly!
