Kharlie’s Monthly Show a Success

Kharlie M played his second monthly show at Rock Haven nursing home on April 25. The 50-minute show included 14 songs: eight covers, three old standards, and only three originals (indicated by stars). #4 and #14 were new for Kharlie; #10 was a pleasant surprise, and everyone loved #13.

  2. Have I Told You Lately (standard)
  3. You Decorated My Life (Kenny Rogers)
  4. Take Me Home, Country Roads (John Denver)
  5. Emerald Sunrise *
  6. Both Sides Now (Joni Mitchell)
  7. Tomorrow (Donnie Owens)
  8. Take Me Out to the Ball Game (standard)
  9. Unnecessary Roughness *
  10. Joy to the World (Hoyt Axton / Three Dog Night)
  11. Let Me Call You Sweetheart (standard)
  12. Time in a Bottle (Jim Croce)
  13. The Little Mmm Guy *
  14. Annie’s Song (John Denver)

Recent and Upcoming Shows

Elmer and the Ceramic Trees, Prone to Sorrow, and Mystery Mirrors were among the bands that performed on Record Store Day (Saturday, April 22) at the Exclusive Company in Janesville. The same three bands will appear on Saturday, April 29 at Blue Devil’s Challenge Arcade, 26 W. Main St., Evansville, WI. Show starts at 7:30 pm; there is a $5 cover charge.

Mystery Mirrors has undergone a metamorphosis: Jesse Ramirez, who sings and plays guitar, is now the frontman in a four-piece band including Sean Kappes on bass, Aaron Messier on keyboards, and Jesse Veek on drums. The sound is amazing! Their Facebook page sports a dandy video of the band playing “Ocean Eyes” from their show at Exclusive.

More shows are planned for Mystery Mirrors at Voigt Music Center, on May 13 and July 7.
