T minus 10 hours, 27 minutes. I’m anticipating
a packed coffee shop and a great time!

I spent much of this day recording, mixing and mastering a new EP entitled “Traveling Together.” With my gig scheduled for 6 p.m., I hurriedly burned eight copies of the 18-minute CD between 4 and 5 p.m. I wrote the title on each CD in marker; Wendi helped by putting them into protective sleeves for me. (I spent part of the previous two days remixing older songs for this CD.)
Charlie’s gig at The Little Bean, scheduled for 6:00 (actual time, 6:04–7:49), went off quite well (see Facebook post below). Wendi used a cup for a tip jar; I received $4 in tips. Wendi bought tacos and quiche from the restaurant; the tacos were for tonight’s dinner, and the quiche for tomorrow’s breakfast. ~ My set list is below, exactly as it appeared on a printed text document; I sang with no lyrics in front of me, which was a first.

Late that night, I uploaded the five tracks to Bandcamp and published the EP, complete with lyrics and album art (which consisted of a photo of Wendi and me from Valentine’s Day, 2012, with the title superimposed on it). I was finished after midnight, so the release date went up as October 19, 2013.

Friday night’s show at The Little Bean was a
success. The coffee shop was packed, at least for part of it.
Everyone seemed to be enjoying the music; I know I enjoyed
playing it. There were free CDs of my new EP, “Traveling
Together,” but I ran out of them.

NOTE: The “Traveling Together” EP remained on Bandcamp until July 3, 2025, when it was taken down; by then, nearly all of the songs on it had already been released on albums.
